Manuel is STAG’s Head of Real Estate. Manuel is a dynamic and strategic investment professional with over a decade of experience spanning international business development, financial management, and corporate leadership. His record of board-level contributions and project execution has been instrumental in achieving sustained growth and operational efficiency across companies in Europe and Africa.
Manuel’s comprehensive background includes work in sectors such as real estate, energy, materials, industrial, financial, and information technology. This cross-industry experience enriches his approach to fund management, equipping him with a robust understanding of global markets, complex asset structures, and high-value investment opportunities. His leadership has proven instrumental in optimizing portfolios, ensuring compliance, and achieving consistent returns.
Manuel holds an International MSc in Business Administration from Católica-Lisbon School of Business & Economics, with a semester at Richard Ivey School of Business. Bilingual in Portuguese and English, Manuel is well-equipped to navigate both local and international regulatory landscapes.
Sofia is a finance professional with a background in financial Due Diligences, investment analysis, asset management, and M&A advisory. She started her career at Deloitte, where she played a role in Transaction Services, specializing in Real Estate financial due diligence.
During her time there, Sofia was involved in the biggest real estate transactions in Portugal. Building on this experience, she transitioned to a management fund as an Investment Analyst, Sofia’s focus shifted to conducting valuations and investment analysis before finding her current role at STAG Management Fund. Now, Sofia continues to leverage her expertise to drive results and contribute to STAG’s ongoing success.
Miguel began his academic journey with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and is currently finalizing a master’s degree in Finance, with a Major on Financial Markets.
In line with his interest and to keep up with technological advances, Miguel has also enrolled in a postgraduate degree in Applied Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
In addition to his background in Economics and Finance, Miguel holds a particular interest in Engineering and Technology which can contribute to the company’s strategic goals.
Miguel integrates the investment team and provides support in investment and risk analysis, fund management and in process automation, being responsible for investment risk management and mitigation.
João has more than 10 years’ experience in Structured Finance and M/L Funding and Liquidity in Santander, having worked in the company headquarters both in Lisbon and Madrid.
He has managed more than €20bn of collateralized asset portfolios (Residential and SME’s) within the Eurosystem and has been directly involved in the issuance of over €15bncollateralized debt (Covered Bonds, Subordinated debt, Hybrid Capital Instruments) within market and private placement structures. Within the Structured Finance department, João has also experience in the issuance and management of asset-backed securitizations.
João also took part in the management of stakes in several PE Funds worth more than €1bn in Portugal from several asset managers and has performed with success several transactions within Real Estate Development Projects and Agribusiness sector.
He holds a master’s in finance from Católica Lisbon – School of Business & Economics and a Business Management undergraduate program within ISCTE.
As one of the founders of STAG, António has been involved in the inception of STAG. Following an MBO, António assumed the role of COO of STAG, giving continuance to his previous tasks, involving team and client management, Company’s Financial Operations and strategic business planning.
António is very much involved in dealing with the Portuguese Stock Market’s Regulator, from the setup of Venture Capital Funds, risk investment mitigation, identification, prevention and implementation of measures related to COI issues.
With a vast and in-depth knowledge of best practices relating to due diligence and risk assessment of investments, alongside with ‘AML’ and ‘KYC’ procedures, António strives to ensure STAG’s strategic and ongoing operations do follow the international best practices, both for individual and institutional clients, relating to Investment Funds, Venture Capital and Private Equity Funds.
In his work experiences, António provided consultancy services for the implementation of various real estate and financial investments, where he has acted as a qualified Lawyer specialized in Private Wealth Management.
Diogo previously established and managed two Asset Management Companies. He managed more than €1billion of assets undermanagement, covering different asset classes across a number of continents.
Diogo is an experienced Investment Committee member and is responsible for the coordination of all steps leading towards the performance of investment and divestment decisions, together with management strategies of fund portfolios.
Diogo has also served as a director of various international companies, in jurisdictions such as Switzerland, Luxembourg and Portugal. He has extensive experience dealing with transactions in different countries, across a wide range of sectors, including investments (and restructuring of assets), divestments, private and public offerings, and monitoring.
Previously he worked for a major Private Equity institution in Portugal and for a Millennium Investment Bank, as a Senior Manager.
He has been a guest speaker at several conferences in; Luxembourg, Belgium, Angola and Portugal, and is also an opinion guest writer for an economic newspaper.
Nathan is the Director of Business Development at STAG Fund Management, where he drives growth, builds lasting client relationships, and delivers tailored investment solutions for institutional investors, family offices, and private clients. His role focuses on expanding the firm’s global footprint and identifying innovative opportunities within the fund management sector.
With over a decade of experience in financial services, Nathan has held various leadership roles across financial advisory, investment management, and corporate structuring. Prior to STAG, he led business development for the Malta and Portugal divisions for a renowned International Corporate Services Group, specializing in corporate structuring, immigration, and family office solutions.
Before Dixcart, Nathan spent four years driving business development and financial reporting in South African for a Financial and Legal firm. Earlier, he worked as a Finance Manager for a Risk Management and Financial entity and as an Executive Financial Planner for Investment Brokerage in Johannesburg, where he guided private clients through complex financial landscapes regulated by specific mandate.
Nathan’s deep expertise in corporate structuring, his approachable, solutions-driven style, and his strong understanding of private client needs make him a trusted partner for businesses and families investing in the European market. At STAG Fund Management, he continues to leverage his global experience to deliver exceptional value and foster long-term partnerships.
Filipa has a Degree in Law and more than 20 years of experience in consultancy to executive management and technical support in Human Resources, Outsourcing and Legal.
One of Filipa’s professional key achievements was her involvement in the international consortium for the construction of the Vasco da Gama Bridge, whilst having as well provided her services as International Accounts Consultant in Adecco Portugal. As Technical Director of Atlanco Rimec Human Resources Group in Portugal, she was head of legal and institutional compliance, as well as responsible for institutional relations with official boards.
Over the recent years, Filipa has been working as a management consultant and compliance executive in Venture Capital companies and Private Equity.
At STAG, Filipa is Head of the compliance team. She is responsible for monitoring the company’s compliance and onboarding of investments and investors.
Verónica has a degree in Accounting and Administration from ISCAL and a master’s degree in management from ISCTE Business School.
She began her professional career in 2017 and since then has always worked in accounting.
Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work in the finance department of a bank, in two multinational consulting companies and in one accounting office. These opportunities have allowed Verónica to develop her accounting and tax skills in various sectors of activity, which have exposed her to a wider spectrum of challenges.
As part of the accounting department of STAG, Verónica is responsible for carrying out the accounting and tax operations of STAG’s Funds, which has allowed her to continue developing new technical skills in a dynamic, committed, and collaborative way.
Joana studied Finance and Accounting at the ISCTE Business School.
Amongst several projects in which she has been involved, Joana worked in an accounting firm in Lisbon, which has allowed her to contact with different sectors of activity and get to know companies since inception. In 2022, Joana became a certified chartered accountant.
At STAG, Joana is the person responsible for the coordination of the financial department.
Joana enjoys getting involved in every project she’s involved with and put all of her energy into what she believes in.
With an academic background in Anthropology, Diana is able to understand human behavior and cultural dynamics. This has motivated her into the world of compliance and marketing, where she thrives to develop strategies and analyze national and international profiles. Her ability to work in diverse domains shows her versatile approach to problem-solving.
Diana is a compliance professional at STAG, ensuring that legal and ethical standards are maintained. With an understanding of regulatory compliance matters, she plays a role in ensuring that the investors at STAG comply with the industry rules and guidelines, overseeing and being actively involved in the onboarding of Investors. Diana’s skills allows her to balance the onboarding process with strategies, fostering a culture of ethics and trust within the company.
In her job, Diana also implements efficient marketing plans, while making sure these follow the industry guidelines.
Diana’s work proves how different worlds can enable each other for a better customer journey. A professional who enlaces the fields of Compliance, Anthropology and Marketing.
José’s academic journey began with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management, which he earned from ISCTE Business School.
Currently, José is finishing a master’s degree in finance at ISEG – University of Lisbon, aiming to further develop his knowledge in the field of finance.
José has a previous experience as a Deal Advisory Analyst at KPMG Portugal, particularly in the Financial Institutions Team, advising banks on credit and real estate transactions.
Currently, José is working as an Investment Analyst at STAG investment team, focus on investment and financial analysis and market research.
Gisela has joined STAG as Member of the Board of Directors of STAG in 2021, and is responsible for overseeing the Legal and Compliance departments.
With an extensive knowledge of ‘AML’ and ‘KYC’ procedures, due diligence, and risk assessment of both clients and investments, Gisela oversees the compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory obligations specific to the fund management industry, such as those imposed by the financial regulatory authorities.
Gisela is also responsible for overseeing potential risks associated with fund management activities, investments undertaken by the funds undermanagement, investment strategies, regulatory changes, and business operations, providing guidance on risk mitigation strategies. In addition, she is also involved in the investments/transactions undertaken by the funds undermanagement, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and legal documents, overseeing the compliance procedures undertaken for these investments.
With a degree in Law and a postgraduate degree in management and taxation, she has over 20 years’ experience having been involved in a wide variety of domestic and international transactions, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate reorganizations, asset purchases, creation of investment vehicles, private equity and venture capital financing.
