New Compliance Officer: Joao Figueira
Compliance obligations are critical in this modern world, and STAG Fund Management is fully registered and subject to supervision by the Portuguese Securities Commission (CMVM).
We understand why compliance has become an ever-increasingly important element of successful international business and at STAG we take our compliance obligations very seriously. Rigorous and meticulous governance procedures strengthen our business and how effective we can be for our clients.
We are therefore delighted to welcome Joao Figueira to the STAG Team.
He brings with him experience at two banks and an enthusiasm to develop his professional skills still further.
Joao studied Law in the ‘Faculdade de Direito’ at Lisbon University and is currently studying, in his spare time, for a Master´s degree, with a thesis on the topic of Legal and Forensic Sciences.
Previously, he worked as a Due Diligence Officer at BNP Paribas for almost three years, looking after French Institutional Clients and Spanish Corporate Clients. Prior to joining STAG Fund Management Joao worked at Banco Atlântico Europa, as a Compliance Officer, working closely with the Anti-Money Laundering Department.
